hOURS: Monday THROUGH Thursday 9:00 AM TO 4:00 PM

Just as no friendly hand is ever unwelcome, everyone who wishes to can find a way to help the food bank perform its vital services.

We receive help from surrounding communities, through various local businesses, community organizations and private individuals.  In serving the many families and individuals that we do, we now seek contributions and assistance more than ever to operate and maintain our food bank.  Without the continuous help from grants and private funding, as well as fund raising events throughout the year, we would face considerable difficulty running the food bank.

With the many services that Friendly Hands Food Bank provides, we require steady donations on non-perishable food items, a select group of perishable items (butter, bread, eggs, hams and turkeys), toys, coats, hats and gloves for our client's children, particularly during the holiday seasons.

Since we have been operating out of our own dedicated facility, we continually look to expand out outreach programs to the communities that we serve.  For services we cannot provide, we direct our clients to the appropriate organizations that can give them the help they need, including rent and fuel assistance.

Apart from the voluntary contributions of goods and services, the food bank has many on-site volunteers who help with the different fundraising events throughout the year.  Our volunteers have worked to pick up, organize and deliver food and toys, and have contributed time and effort improving the physical appearance of our food bank.

If you are an individual, business or organization that wishes to help Friendly Hands achieve its mission of community care for those in need, please contact us to discuss the many ways you can get involved.
